Initially passed over by multiple contractors due to its difficulty, this project required a complete rethink of both layout and approach. With the client away during the build, McMillan Tiling Projects were given full creative and technical control — allowing decisions to be made decisively and without compromise.

3D renders were developed prior to construction, providing a clear visual direction and ensuring alignment before work began. This upfront planning allowed spatial challenges to be resolved early and gave confidence in both layout and material decisions before a single tile was laid.

The final design introduces a recessed ceiling detail, adding depth and architectural interest, paired with integrated LED lighting to shape the overall atmosphere. The layout has been carefully reworked to maximise usability and flow, resulting in a space that feels intentional, balanced and highly resolved.
